We are pushing the boundaries of communication. Yorkshire Fertility are embarking on a service to revolutionise the way we run clinics. We are amongst the first to develop a Hybrid Clinic supported by our hosts Calderdale & Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust and The Health Informatics Service. This will allows clinicians and nursing staff to run clinics via Video Conferencing, enabling them to communicate over a boundless geographical area.
This means if it’s convenient and you have no need for physical intervention you will be able to see your specialist team member via any device that has internet connectivity.
This service uses cutting edge technology, Cisco Jabber Guest ™ and has a virtual reception area all from the comfort of your home, office or any other location. You will have the same dedicated face to face conversation as if you were in the consultation room via our ultra HD dedicated virtual conferencing units.
From your point of view, it means less time spent in large amounts of traffic and the stress that goes with parking at the hospital. Also in this modern age our time is becoming increasingly precious, and we know its difficult to take time off work, you can now utilise your time and the clinician’s time much more effectively. This will enhance your treatment and will only be used if you and your clinician feel it would benefit you.
If you would be happy to have a virtual appointment over the internet using this industry leading software then please let us know and we will offer you an appointment where appropriate.
To read more about this new service you can view our patient information leaflet which is full of information and hopefully will answer any questions you may have about the process.
Recently we were contacted by Cisco themselves who were really interested in how Yorkshire Fertility have started to integrate these virtual consultations into our way of working. After a discussion with their team we were lucky enough to have a blog written all about us and how virtual technology can deliver more personalised fertility services.
You can read the blog item which is written by Diane Amphlet here on the Cisco UK & Ireland website.
